- Insert a Skinny Sachet into your bottle or can.
- Swirl sachet several times over five minutes. The more movement the better!
- After 5 minutes you can sip symptom-free. No need to remove this sachet.
We do not recommend putting a Skinny sachet directly into a bottle of wine. The sachet will continue to extract tannins as it sits and cause a noticeable change in flavor if left inside a wine bottle. This does not happen with beer and therefore the Skinny can be left inside a bottle or can of beer without worry of a flavor change.

FAQs
What's in ALKAA?
ALKAA’s proprietary formula is patent-pending so we can’t disclose our recipe just yet.
Here’s what we can tell you: Our natural ingredients are FDA G.R.A.S. or Generally Recognized As Safe. Salt, sugar, water, and flour are a few examples of G.R.A.S. ingredients. Our other ingredients are similar to those found in water treatment and purification and wine fining. These ingredients comply with FDA 21 CFR 173.25.
ALKAA is safe. It acts as a filter and is not ingested. It removes a significant percentage of trouble-making components before they enter your body.
You can use ALKAA confidently and enjoy a healthier beverage.
Will ALKAA change the taste of my drink?
When drinking spirits or beer our testers reported no change in taste. When drinking wine some testers reported a slight reduction of tannins, especially when the sachet is left in longer than five minutes. Tannins provide flavor to wine but some testers prefer the taste after ALKAA is used. We think this is because the sachet is reducing some of the bite of certain wines. One tester said, “It made my cheap wine taste better!” While this was a positive experience, we recommend not leaving a sachet in your glass longer than the suggested time.
How do I use ALKAA?
IMPORTANT: Do Not Squeeze or Suck the Sachet
Submerge a single sachet in your drink for five minutes. Swirl it around a few times. The more movement, the better! Once five minutes are up remove the sachet and set it aside to reuse in the same type of alcohol. For example, if you are having two glasses of wine, you only need one sachet. When reusing the sachet you must submerge for ten minutes to obtain the same benefit. Remember to swirl the sachet a few times during the ten minutes.
Sachets lose efficacy after two uses. The exception to this rule would be when using the “Skinny” sachet. Because it’s dropped inside a can or bottle and treats several ounces more alcohol than a typical pour of wine or cocktail, it is a single-use product.
If I use ALKAA can I drink as much as I want?
In short: No. ALKAA reduces the level of trouble-making toxins, not the actual alcohol itself. Please drink responsibly.
I initially bought ALKAA for my mother in law, and decided to give it a try myself. I genuinely thought that I didn’t get any symptoms after drinking, until I tried ALKAA as an experiment. It turns out I feel so much better after having a drink with ALKAA than I do without. Now I really don’t want to be without an assortment of ALKAA sachets! Thanks for making this Paul & Sara ❤️
As a young adult moving to the San Francisco Bay area, I learned wine from the tasting rooms of Napa Valley. From the start I learned Merlot would trigger a migraine, so I stuck to Cabernet for twenty years. Then Cabernet, even in the smallest amounts, became a guaranteed instant nap followed by a hangover headache. Lately I've limited myself to Italian wines; I've been told the difference has something to do with histamines. Whatever it is, that's the thing I'm sensitive to in New World wines.
But it feels weird to be critical of the wine when the family is sharing a bottle, which is most often Cabernet. And I do love a good Cabernet. So I play games of pre-hydrating, aerating for 30 minutes, and drinking the smallest glass. It's a dice roll with unpredictable results, mostly fails.
This sachet gave Cabernet back to me. I placed the sachet in the glass, set my timer, and swirled it off and on for five minutes. The wine needed time to open up anyway. Then I retrieved the sachet and set it aside on a tea rest before sipping. The wine now had a smoother, more refined texture while keeping the expected taste spot on. I repeated the process for a *gasp* second glass, following directions and swirling for ten minutes this time. Not only did I not require an instant nap, but I awoke the next morning with zero reminders of my indulgence.
Due to my own sensibilities, I am not ready to pull one out at the restaurant, but ALKAA lets me enjoy sharing a bottle with the family without having to ask like a bougie snob, "Is it Italian?"
PS: I also tried the sachet with whiskey and had the same result. I am overjoyed.
ALKAA absolutely works as advertised! I haven’t been able to drink beer for a while now due to unpleasant reactions, but ALKAA 100% takes them away. And the skinny version lets me pop it straight in to the bottle or can without needing to dirty a glass. Win win! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
Love Alkaa and the tiny tin is clutch…much better than pulling out my sandwich baggie with sachets in it at a restaurant 🙃
