I took the Alkaa sample pack on vacation to St Maarten, and used it on a very large drink called the Jet Set. It didn't change the taste of the drink, and I kept it in the whole time. Most importantly, I had no negative aftereffects from the alcohol and could enjoy my adult beverage fully. Great product!
I love Alkaa! as a perimenopausal woman i have noticed an extreme change in the way my body processes alcohol. When I use Alkaa I feel like my younger self. No bad effects from drinking one drink! I have even been able to have two or three drinks thoughout a day with no extra anxiety being triggered, no heart palpatations later in the night. What a great product!
If you had asked me a few months ago if I had an alcohol sensitivity, I would have said no.
Now, I *did* get a beet red face whenever I drank any amount of alcohol, but I just figured that was a result of my rosacea, and that there wasn’t anything I could do about it.
My friend had some Alkaa and offered a sachet for me to try, and I did. To my surprise, I did not get red-faced, even after three cocktails. Not only that, but the slight nausea and general queasy feeling I often experienced after a few drinks was *completely* gone. So much so that I had to remind myself not to overindulge. Because, as my friend explained, Alkaa does remove the acetaldehyde and other stuff that can cause adverse reactions, but doesn’t reduce the ethanol. So you can still get drunk if you have too much.
Needless to say, I hate getting red-faced after I’ve gone to the trouble to put on makeup and dress up for a night out, so I decided to buy my own stash of Alkaa. Now I’ve taken to using it with every drink, and even pre-treating whole bottles of liquor at home (for convenience) because the feeling of enjoying the buzz—without the burning red face and gross sick feeling I used to get—is just too addictive.
I will say that it doesn’t work as well if you don’t follow the directions. You have to leave it in your drink for 5 minutes (10 minutes to reuse the same sachet in a second drink), and swirl gently a few times. It works by filtering the alcohol, so you have to get it in contact with all the liquid. And it does tend to float in fizzy drinks, so you kinda have to push it down a few times.
Also, if I drink any alcohol without using it, or have even a few sips before it’s done filtering, I get some flushing. So I’m strict with myself and wait the full 5 minutes (sometimes I’ll order or make my next drink early so it has 10 minutes to work before I’m ready to drink it). And I have to resist the urge to squeeze it, since that would just put all the junk back in my drink.
Even though it works out to almost $3 per sachet, after using it twice, it’s a little over a buck per drink. To me, it’s a small price to pay to avoid a hot, burning face and still enjoy a few drinks.
I tried it three different times, on three. different days. Two of the bags I reused as suggested. I had wine one night; and, I had two mixed drinks another weekend. Another night, I had one mixed drink. I don’t drink frequently anymore as it makes me feel so unwell., even with just two ounces of wine. I used the sachets. On all three evenings and i had no negative issues. I was actually testing them to see what they were like and to see. if they were something i would be comfortable sharing with family and friends. I am and i did! This makes light drinking more enjoyable and doable while eliminating nasty toxins with no grogginess , headaches or waking up at night:. I noticed less sweating too. I also noticed no change of taste in my drinks either. Even though it’s a bit pricy, it remains especially affordable for light to moderate drinking and I believe a bit healthier as well due to less toxins taken into the body. I will remain a light drinker now that my tests are done but I feel better about having even a glass or two here or there in life without tge baggage of discomfort or toxins!.
My extreme gastrointestinal symptoms following more than 2 drinks were significantly lessened by using ALKAA. If you’re treating a drink in a bar, these tagged sachets are key to not looking like an unhygienic fool, if you care about such things!
After trying DAO and digestive enzymes and still flushed with a headache. I felt hopeless. I tried sachet a couple times and so far so good! I still had some stomach discomfort but it could have been the indulging of food too hahaha (tend to eat like a teenager on vacation) Excited to try a sachet with wine with the gals
I have always been subject both to next day hangovers (brutal headaches, vomiting at times) as well as flushes and general discomfort and sleep disturbance from alcohol. I cannot attest to how well this stuff works on its own for next day hangovers because I also use a product called RU-21 that pretty much prevents those. But RU-21 does nothing for those uncomfortable, sleep disturbing effects the night of. ALKAA kicks those in the butt tho. I now have an effective combo for all my symptoms. Since RU-21 works so well for the next day symptoms I’m not keen to experiment to see how well ALKAA does on its own. I’ll just use both!
So, over the past few years I have been struggling with nausea, sweating palpitations and upset stomach following alcohol. I drank less and less ( not a big drinker anyway) , only had lower alcohol drinks etc etc. I tried Alkaa and thought, hmmn, think I feel ok? Recently went away with friends and drank wine using Alkaa every single time, didn't consider alcohol content and I was absolutely fine! No sicky feeling after midday glass, no sweats and nausea in the night. Slept well and no upset stomach. I can't begin to explain how relieved and yes, less anxious I became when having a drink. Still don't drink loads but game changer for me.

Ok, so I have always wanted to drink wine, but everytime I do I get a raging headache and feel hungover even though I am not even buzzed. I experimented the other night with Alkaa and man what a difference. I was able to drink 3 glasses throughout the night and felt fine the next day. Even though I have only tried it once, I am so pleasantly surprised. I am looking forward to trying it in different types of beverages to see the outcome. So far so good!
Did not have reflux all night and even avoided the fluid retention weight normally associated with adult beverages the night before.
Look Forward to trying this with other beverages as well. I don’t know what the magic is, but it works!
I have used ALKAA this past week as I have been visiting family in England. I usually dread it as there is a lot of alcohol consumed and I can get ill even after one drink. I have woken up every morning feeling refreshed and ready for my day ahead! Thank you!
I leave these on my bar top at home and use them for wine and whiskey every time, they are great! They do change the taste, but worth the reward!
My friend recommended it, I was trying to stay away from alcohol. Few weeks ago, I went to a winery and it is hard not to indulge in a glass or two, so decided to give them a try. I was surprised that the taste of wine didn’t change. They don’t dilute its taste.
I really didn’t think Alkaa would work for me. I didn’t understand why alcohol over the years began to make me feel awful, but I eventually completely gave it up for a few years because the side effects were not worth it anymore. I would wake up in the middle of the night anxious, sweaty, head pounding, overall feeling of terrible. I saw this product and really didn’t think it would work, but thought what the heck let’s give it a try and I did so through samples. One evening I had a few cocktails and used Alkaa exactly as advised. I went to bed wondering what my fate would be in a few hours and to my surprise nothing happened. I woke up the next morning and really couldn’t even tell that I had any alcohol the night before. It was a miracle! I couldn’t believe it. I think giving Alkaa a try is a must! It could be a game changer for you! 100% recommend.
Drinking alcohol has been problematic as I cruise through menopause. One drink can leave me with a horrible headache the next day along with what feels like a hangover. Haven’t had a headache or ‘hangover’ since using Alkaa.
